Infographics: The Economic Downturn

I am a huge fan of infographics -- where someone has taken information and communicated it in graphic form to make it easier to understand.
This graphic from the NY Times, a chart of industrial production — the output of manufacturers, miners and utility companies — is a great example. And, it's also encouraging.
It may seem really confusing and odd at the beginning, but be sure to click all the way to the end. It gets better.
